Fire: Skills that deal Fire damage typically offer up unrivaled offense at the cost of utility.

Abilities and runes that don’t actively deal damage (such as the Crusader’s Laws of Justice and its variations) are also classified as Physical, but their effects are not increased by added Physical damage on your equipment. As you grow in power, several of your Physical abilities will gain new runes that change their damage type while providing added effects.

Physical: A myriad of skills that harm enemies in conventional ways, such as the Barbarian’s Bash or the Demon Hunter’s Impale, are classified as Physical.

Building corpses is one great way to get the upper hand.Fire, Cold, Lightning, Poison, Arcane, Holy That is one of the strengths of the Necromancer, causing a ton of damage and being able to heal and use his dead enemies against the others.

A useful skill with a dual purpose, Bone Armor can absorb damage and causing it at the same time which comes in handy when getting surrounded. This will allow less damage to get to the Necromancer and throw out skills like Simulacrum and Gift of Death. This is also true of the other summoning spells but they should be used more as distractions as the Necromancer should pump out more damage worthy skills.

Using summoning spells like Skeletal Mage, for the most part, attacks only one enemy at a time but it's extremely powerful when upgraded. Another skill to hone in on is Siphon Blood with Power Shift for tons of damage and healing.

Pair it with Close Quarters and it becomes a damage machine. With all the corpses laying on the ground, one of the best skills available in a Necromancer's arsenal is Corpse Explosion.
